The Colorado Youth Program is led by:
Steve Ehredt
Executive Director

 Steve has been with
CYP since its inception and has worked with children in the outdoors
for the past twenty years. He has worked for such high profile programs
as the National Wildlife Federation’s “Wildlife Discovery Camp” and was
Director of the Keystone Science School’s “Discovery Camp.” He spent
two years as Therapeutic Recreation Director at a youth treatment
facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Directly before coming to CYP, he
was Operations Manager for Cal-Wood Conservation Education Resource
Center, the host site of CYP’s 1995 summer camp. Steve has a B. S. in
Environmental Interpretation from Pennsylvania State University and a
Master’s degree in English Literature from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania. He holds Standard First Aid and CPR certifications.
Kate McGuirk

Kate just finished her first summer
with CYP as a Camp Counselor & Field Instructor and is thrilled to
be joining CYP year-round leading Adventure Club. Prior to
CYP, Kate has worked for Anderson Camps in Gypsum, Colorado and
most recently was the Site Director for the YMCA in Arvada. Kate
holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
She is certified in CPR and Standard First Aid.
